Large angular crushed stone, roughly 1.5 to 2.5 inches with the fines removed, so water moves through it fast. Used for drainage where high flow matters, erosion control, culvert and trench backfill, and as heavy fill under larger work. Too coarse to walk on, so it sits below finished surfaces.
