Epoxy or cementitious?

Choose epoxy for dynamic or high-torque machinery (crushers, compressors, mills), chemical exposure, or when you need maximum strength and creep resistance. Epoxy grouts reach 12,000 to 19,000 psi, bond to steel and concrete, and tolerate vibration that breaks down cement grout.

Choose cementitious for static baseplates, columns, anchor bolts and general structural work. Non-shrink cement grouts cost far less per cubic foot, mix with water only, and meet ASTM C1107 for precision support. For most one-off baseplates they are the practical choice.

Common questions

How much grout do I need?

Multiply length x width x depth of the pour in inches and divide by 1,728 to get cubic feet, then add about 10% for waste. The calculator above does the math; each product page lists yield per bag or kit.

What does non-shrink mean?

A non-shrink grout is formulated to expand slightly as it cures so it never pulls away from the baseplate. Look for ASTM C1107 compliance, which verifies the grout holds positive expansion from placement through final set.

Do I need epoxy grout for a crusher or mill?

For equipment with high torque, vibration or shock loads, epoxy grout is the standard choice. It resists the edge loading and fatigue that degrade cementitious grout under dynamic equipment, and most OEMs specify it for crushers, mills and compressors.
