An apron liner for a 3136 horizontal shaft impactor. It bolts to the inside face of the apron and takes the material thrown off the rotor, so the apron casting itself is not worn by the impact. Cast in a chrome moly alloy at roughly 3 percent chromium, which holds an edge in abrasive feed better than plain manganese at the same hardness. Replace once the liner has worn thin enough to expose the mounting hardware, or when the gap it sets has opened far enough to coarsen the product size.
